Dreamy Sketches

Dreamy Sketches

With the aid of an ancient but wonderful photo-manipulation graphics program, I can transform non-descript photos into dreamy sketches.  I get to play “artist”, without overtaxing my actual drawing skills.  The software does the work.  But there’s creative effort on my part, as well – for I’m the one who decides which buttons to click to pull out the most amazing patterns.

I’m filled with gratitude to think that God takes what seem to us mundane and often non-descript parts of our lives, and transforms them into godly patterns.  He not only knows “which buttons to click”, but best of all, he doesn’t need a “program” to help him re-create us.  He does the work because of his own majesty and greatness.  Dreamy sketches emerge in us, thanks to his amazing grace and unfailing Love.

  2. Dolly, I've had this program for years and years. So I had many years to study the manual. (In the days when mfg. still printed book-length guides, whereas today they give us 6 languages but very little tangible info.) Back then, Adobe Photoshop gave away a "lite" version as part of a bundled freebie with purchase of a new printer. They no longer offer that sort of package. The newer versions are too expensive, also, this version works with Windows XP but the higher versions require a newer OS.

Yes, yes. Where would we be if we didn't have that hope within? Sometimes it seems to take almost until eternity to notice there are changes in us. But we have the hope that his promises are true. To think that the "fullness of the Godhead bodily... the exact representation of His likeness" dwells in us, is staggering, mind-boggling. Oh, if only we could grasp that in our innermost personality and being!!! That would save us so many fears, frustrations, worries, wonderings... But part of our humanity is that most of us can't wrap our minds and souls around the magnificence of our Lord.
